Refund policy
At Raw Brush, every painting is unique. Each work is likely older than you and has already lived a life in France before arriving to you. Signs of age such as patina, light surface wear, small chips, or fine craquelure are considered part of its charm and authenticity, not defects. Our collectors understand they are bringing home a piece of history, not something newly made in a factory.
Because our pieces are one of a kind, our sales follow the standards of galleries and antique dealers rather than mass retail.
We accept returns within 7 days of delivery.
We want you to be obsessed with your new painting. If it doesn’t feel right in your space, you may request a return within 7 days of delivery, as long as it’s returned in the same condition and original packaging.
Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return:
- The painting must be in the same condition you received it.
- It must be returned in its original packaging, packed with the same level of care (protective materials, padding, etc.).
- You’ll need your order number
To initiate a return, contact us at hellorawbrush@gmail.com. We will provide you with the return shipping address. Please note that returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Return Process
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label along with instructions on how and where to send your package. The return must be shipped back within 7 days of receiving return instructions. Please note that you will need to cover the return shipping costs, which will be deducted from the refund amount. Please pack the item very carefully in its original box to avoid damage during transit, as any damages will need to be paid for.
Before You Buy
We encourage you to carefully review the photos and descriptions to avoid unnecessary returns, as vintage items can be delicate. We're happy to supply videos and additional images to aid your decision-making process.
Buying original French art is a thoughtful choice, not an impulse click. If you have the slightest hesitation, please contact us before purchasing. We genuinely prefer questions to regrets. We are happy to answer any questions; nothing delights us more than someone asking about our paintings. We could talk about vintage and antique art all day. Simply email hellorawbrush@gmail.com before placing your order. We want to help you feel completely sure before welcoming a Raw Brush painting into your home and everyday life.
Cancellations
We do not accept cancellations once an order is shipped.
Shipping, Insurance & Damages
Original art deserves to travel well.
- Every shipment is fully insured.
- If a parcel is lost in transit or arrives damaged, we will assist you with the insurance claim so you can be reimbursed by the insurer for transit-related issues.
If your package looks damaged on arrival, please:
- Photograph the unopened box from several angles.
- Then open it carefully and photograph the inner packaging and the artwork, including any damage you see.
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at hellorawbrush@gmail.com with your order number, photos, and a brief description of the issue.
We will guide you through the next steps with the carrier and insurer.
Wrong or Misrepresented Item
We take great care to present each painting honestly and in detail. If you believe you received the wrong artwork or that it was significantly misrepresented, contact us as soon as possible at hellorawbrush@gmail.com.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund is approved. Refund may be reduced or denied if returned damaged or improperly packed. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days, minus the return shipping cost. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at hellorawbrush@gmail.com.
