About the Artist
NAFIR (often listed as Nafir Boaba), born in 1929 in Romania, later settled in France (Grenoble region). He painted primarily in oil with a technique that prioritizes color and keeps a strong, expressive line, moving between abstraction and figuration. His favored subjects include flowers, still lifes, the sea and women—motifs that speak to intimacy, nature and everyday poetry rather than grand academic themes. He exhibited from 1960 in the Grenoble region and in Paris, including Galerie Guilmin, Galerie Duncan, Fondation Hébert d’Uckermann, Espace Achard, and the Comité Régional d’Art Contemporain de Grenoble, which underscores that he was part of an active French gallery circuit.

🇬🇧 UK customers: Antique artworks are duty-free and qualify for a reduced 5% VAT at import, not the full rate.

Most of our paintings will be shipped straight from France unless specified otherwise.
