About the Artist

Gaston Ploquin (1882-1970), was a distinguished painter associated with the Lyon School. He trained at the prestigious School of Fine Arts in Lyon under the mentorship of painter and decorator Louis Bardey (1851-1915). Ploquin began exhibiting his work in Lyon as early as 1900 and was a regular participant in various local salons.
